RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is partnering with the Town of Urbanna to open a DMV Select office, located in the Waverly Commons building at 390 Virginia Street, on February 14. DMV contracts with local governments to offer customers mostly vehicle-related transactions at DMV Selects. Transactions that can be conducted at DMV Selects include vehicle titles and registrations, license plates and decals, disabled parking placards, transcripts, voter registration applications and more.
The new Urbanna DMV Select office will operate by appointment only Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will support nearby customer service centers. Appointments can be made through the Town of Urbanna's website. This new location will also sell hunting and fishing licenses and E-ZPass transponders and will host DMV Connect visits.
"We are grateful this new partnership with the Town of Urbanna will provide additional service options for area residents," said DMV's Acting Commissioner Linda Ford. "Providing superior service is part of DMV's mission and is a goal we work hard to achieve every day."
Town Administrator Garth Wheeler said he and his staff are excited to provide DMV services to area residents. "Opening a DMV Select will allow us to offer even more efficient and effective customer service," said Wheeler.
With the addition of this venue, DMV now has 57 DMV Select partners throughout the Commonwealth.
