SUSSEX - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is partnering with Sussex County to open a DMV Select office on October 11. The new DMV Select will be located at 15074 Courthouse Road.
DMV contracts with local governments to offer customers mostly vehicle-related transactions at DMV Selects. Transactions that can be conducted at DMV Selects include vehicle titles and registrations, license plates and decals, disabled parking placards, transcripts, voter registration applications and more.
The new Sussex DMV Select office will be open for walk-in service Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will support nearby customer service centers. This new location will also sell E-ZPass transponders and will host DMV Connect visits.
"Expanding our DMV Select program is part of our commitment to provide superior service to Virginians," said Acting DMV Commissioner Linda Ford. "I am proud that we now have 58 DMV Select partners throughout the Commonwealth, in addition to our 75 customer service centers and 14 mobile DMV Connect teams."
Sussex County Treasurer Deste J. Cox said they are pleased to provide DMV services to area residents.
"Opening a DMV Select will allow us to offer even more efficient and effective services to our residents," Treasurer Cox said.
