RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is partnering with the Powhatan County Commissioner of the Revenue to open a DMV Select office, located at 3834 Old Buckingham Road Suite C, on February 20. DMV contracts with local governments to offer customers mostly vehicle-related transactions at DMV Selects. Transactions that can be conducted at DMV Selects include vehicle titles and registrations, license plates and decals, disabled parking placards, transcripts and more.
The new Powhatan DMV Select office will operate Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., supporting the Chesterfield Customer Service Center. The office will have two dedicated windows for DMV customers and offer E-ZPass transponders.
"We are pleased to offer the residents of Powhatan a convenient location where they can take care of their vehicle-related transactions,” said DMV Commissioner Gerald Lackey. "We are grateful for our partners in the Commissioner of the Revenue’s office for making this possible for their residents.”
County Commissioner of the Revenue Jamie Timberlake, DMV Select Manager LaTasha Bouldin and their staff are ready to provide convenient service for Powhatan locals.
"We are very excited about opening the Powhatan DMV Select to serve the people of Powhatan and welcome others to take advantage of DMV services,” said Commissioner Timberlake. “It is another opportunity for us to provide efficient and effective services while ensuring the highest quality customer care. The partnership with DMV is just another great example of cooperation and collaboration of state and local government agencies providing convenient services for the people.”
With the addition of this venue, DMV now has 61 DMV Select partners throughout the Commonwealth. For more information on DMV Selects, please visit our website.
